I have been here almost two weeks now and I have gone to many places that I will list below:
- Hbiya Park
- This is quite a large park where people walk or eat lunch. There are many events held here and is seems like every time I go through that area I see tents set up with vendors.
- There was one vendor in particular that caught my eye because they sell childrens puzzles and some toys. I want to get the little fish toy that you put inside a water bottle and add a fake plant and BOOM baby! You now have your own desktop aquarium.
- Hibiya Restaurants
- I went with my old friends Kei, Kazuto, Toshiaki and Taiki to this really amazing but expensive restaurant for a welcome to Japan party. It was really great food, I just wish I could read Japanese and I would tell you the name of the restaurant.
- Kazuto and I have also been to a couple other restaurants, the latest being a yakiniku style restaurant. The food was really amazing!
- Hibiya Stores
- This area of Tokyo is really high class it seems, with designer stores lining the streets and rancy restaurants.
- I have not dared to enter one of the stores yet because I am afraid if I sneeze or cough they will charge me 6,000 yen for the offense. Too high fashion for my blood.
- Akihabara
- This is a tourist type area with a lot of flashy lights and people handing out fliers and trying to get you to enter their stores.
- There are many comic and game shops in this area and I see many younger people here.
- This area also attracts the punk rockers and other various styles.
- I bought some MTG cards here because they are 1 - 3 dollars cheaper than America.
- There is a store called Don Quixote that has 8 floors each with various and quite randomly placed items. It is a must see if you are here for an extended visit and need supplies.
- The densha and chikatetsu
- I rode the train a few times if I must, but I do not like to be touched and smashed into a train car so I walk almost everywhere as long as it is within an hour's walking distance.
- Tokyo station
- This place requires a map, and even with a map I got lost and gave up and went outside and called a taxi.
- I did take the shinkansen to Niigata and then an express densha to Tsuruoka to see the mountains and the coast.
- Niigata Japan
- I did not spend a lot of time here. I bought some udon miso and walked around outside of Niigata station.
- The city is a dingy kind of color, like a layer of dirt is coating every building.
- Tsuruoka, Yamagata, Japan
- This is a small city with a lot of farming. The country feel is awesome and the coast was great!
- I went to an Onsen just off the coast at a hotel. It was very nice and relaxing.
That is it for now. Upcoming events I am planning are:
- Disney Land
- Ueno Park
- Ueno Museums
- Ueno zoo
- Kyoto Temples and Shrines
- Kyoto Onsen
- Osaka Temples and Shrines
- Osaka Onsen

Vacation Niigata and coast to Tsuruoka.
I decided with some assistance from Toshiaki to take the Max Shinkansen Thursday night. I was not feeling well at the time but I did it anyway because I did not want to miss the experience.
